Emergency Care
Our Emergency Care Process
Information Readiness
To ensure a seamless handover to medical professionals, we provide EMS with the following:
Detailed medical history
List of current medications
Known allergies and recent health conditions
Family Notification
During emergencies, we immediately inform the resident’s family or emergency contacts. Our team keeps you updated throughout the process so that you can stay informed and involved.
Immediate Assessment
Our trained caregivers are skilled in assessing medical emergencies quickly and effectively. As soon as a situation arises, we determine the severity and take immediate action.
Prompt Communication with Emergency Services
We promptly contact emergency medical services (EMS) by dialing 911, providing them with all relevant details, including the resident’s condition, symptoms, and medical history.
Basic First Aid and Stabilization
While waiting for EMS to arrive, our caregivers administer basic first aid as needed, such as:
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Controlling bleeding
Ensuring the resident is comfortable and stable
Preventing Further Harm
To ensure the safety of our residents, we take precautions to avoid unnecessary movement or actions that could worsen their condition.
Post-Emergency Follow-Up
After the emergency, we conduct a thorough review of the incident to ensure our processes are continually improved. Residents also receive the appropriate follow-up care to support their recovery.
